FUCKING MOSQUITO!! They are that small they evade detection in even slightly shadowed areas of the room. I can hear the extremely loud-for-its-size buzzing as it whips past my ear, sending me into a helpless reaction; knowing the bastard has well gone before I even set the swing of my arm into momentum. But then it flies to the other end of the room, and the angry buzzing fades into the sound of the crashing waves outside my window. The kick I still get when I experience nature….real nature…..real waves and rain and wind; no engines in sight, just naturally powerful shit that keeps you staring in amazement…until you see it taking off your roof, or dragging your granny downstream. Don’t mess with nature! This thought leads into how long all these phenomenas have been taking place. How many thousands of years has that particular wave been crushing those same rocks? Against that monstrous time period, the species evolved have risen and fallen. That leads me into thinking how that mosquito; that poor, hungry mosquito has just as much right as I do to reside in this room. His bloodline has battled with the best and survived! I have tried talking to them; granting them the other half of the room, as long as they leave me and this top half alone. Sharks bite people, and often get hunted down. Dogs bite people and are usually put down. This goes for mozzies too; we kill them out of self defence, bearing in mind they could be carrying dengue or malaria. Is this the right thing to do? If anyone or anything puts a human life at risk, exterminate it? I start to itch the bite wound he left. I can never pinpoint the exact bite itself first time, as the whole bloody area is itchy, but oh the relief when you hit the bite’s G-spot. For the first one second, you almost forgive the mozzy for biting you and for allowing you that sensation. Then you feel another itch coming on your arm, and then another on your neck, and then one on your forehead……ON MY FUCKING FOREHEAD!!! Ok, fuck that previous thought, surely we humans…we, the superior beings, MUST get special preference as to who lives and who dies….fuck the mosquito, what good does it bring to the planet?!
