In the beginning…

Me Ma & Pa - Gran Canaria 2013I am one of the lucky ones. I know most people in life lay claim to this fact, but they are ALL wrong! My brother and I have the best parents around….not only are they loving, caring, witty, strong and honest individuals, they are above all supportive. This one attribute has made me the person I am today, and I thank them with every atom in my body. Not once have they questioned what I was doing with my life, and have always been there, giving me love and support along the way. I love you both immensely Ma and Pa, this whole life I lead is dedicated to you both!

Well here we go, 117 weeks later than planned! I have been meaning to do this for years, but I am that busy procrastinating, I find I get very little time to do anything! But hey, today is a new day, right?! Every time I come across my diaries kept from travelling with Baz in 2001, I’m instantly back there. Having the kind of memory I have, I need stimuli such as photos and conversations and places and email addresses to refresh my memories and drag them from the shadows. This is 90% of the reason for writing this journal/blog/whatever it’s called; I do not want to forget a single moment of this current adventure or my thoughts along the way…and my iPhone 14 will be able to read it all back to me in a few years time when I’m dribbling in my rocking chair, unable to see with growing cataracts! Letting close friends and family know where I am and what I’m up to accounts for the other 10%. If I do end up turning this into a kind of blog, then maybe it be best you stop reading now! In fact, this is now my disclaimer! As well as recording events that happen, this is going to be a way for me to write down the many thoughts and questions I have about life in general; they will sheerly be my opinions and thoughts from my experience of life so far, and I mean absolutely no offence to absolutely anybody, regardless of political beliefs, race, religion, fetishes, etc…Much of this will no doubt be naive, randomly spouted ideas in no particular order, so apologies in advance’! Right, introduction done; they say starting is the hardest part…..so here goes!
